S Jones Containers set to launch industry-first restoration service

Leading sales, hire and conversion specialist S Jones Containers is set to launch ClearRestore, an innovative and industry-first service with the ability to restore the paintwork on shipping containers back to near-new condition.

Using cutting-edge products, ClearRestore is able to restore worn and aged paintwork on shipping containers back to near-new condition with a 58 per cent cost saving and significantly lower environmental impact than the typical approach of repainting containers. 

The service will be primarily used for the self-storage industry, and it's the first time the product has been available for use on shipping containers in the UK, demonstrating S Jones Containers’ commitment to identifying innovative solutions for its customers.

The family-owned Walsall-based business is set to launch ClearRestore at the Self Storage Association (SSA) UK Conference 2025, which runs between Wednesday April 30 and Thursday May 1 in Telford. The event will see leading figures from across the self-storage industry under one roof to network and learn more about the past, present and future of the sector.

ClearRestore will be front and centre on S Jones Containers’ stand at the conference, with the business displaying a shipping container door that has been restored using the service so visitors can see its effectiveness first hand.
