Penkridge woman launches new company to support micro businesses and charities
A Penkridge woman has launched a new company which aims to support micro businesses and charities.
Vikki Brookes, who recently completed a free business start-up course with consultants Good2Great, has also received a £6,000 grant from South Staffordshire Council.

Her new business, Values-Led Vas, is a membership and directory website for virtual assistants.
She said: "The membership is aimed at virtual assistants who share the same values as me and want to work in a supportive community of collaboration.
“I am passionate about supporting, empowering and connecting people and wanted to be able to support more independent entrepreneurs such as micro businesses and charities."
She received the grant from South Staffordshire Council as part of its UKSPF funding which has helped with a range of items.
Vikki told how she purchased a log cabin to set up a home office, worked with a business coach to help plan the business and received an innovation grant to develop the membership site on her website.
Of her involvement with consultants Good2Great, she said: “I am so happy that I have been able to take my passion and dream and turn it into a reality. I have been part of Good2Great’s Growth Club for nearly 12 months and find the support invaluable.
“I have also taken part in the Start Up In South Staffs programme and this really helped me finalise my plans.”
The programme has been funded by South Staffordshire Council and managed by Good2Great.
