Technical manager appointed to deliver £150m Wolverhampton Canalside South development
Wavensmere Homes has appointed Sean O’Sullivan as a technical manager to be part of the team delivering the urban regeneration specialist’s £150m Wolverhampton Canalside South development.
Mr O’Sullivan joins from Lovell Partnerships Limited, where he worked as a development coordinator since 2021.
Prior to that, he was senior architectural designer for Birmingham-based Ophir Architecture Ltd, and urban designer for Coventry-based IDP Architects.
Between 2008 and 2018, Sean accrued architectural qualifications at Waterford Institute of Technology, Coventry University and Birmingham City University.

“My qualifications and career to date has been a blend of architecture and residential construction projects, so this role is an amazing opportunity to progress my career with Wavensmere.
"I’m thrilled to be tasked with managing the design and technical delivery stages of each phase of Wolverhampton Canalside South, which will provide over 530 homes, commercial amenities and landscaped open space.
"With canal frontage along two sides and an active railway line lying above the arches that dissect the site into two halves, this is a transformational example of city centre urban regeneration.”
Wavensmere Homes started work in February to redevelop the 17.5-acre former British Steel site, next to Wolverhampton’s transport interchange.
Phase one of Canalside South will comprise 153 contemporary two and three-bedroom houses, with home handovers scheduled for the second quarter of 2027. The full regeneration programme is expected to be completed towards the end of 2031.
