Brenda Russon, customer services representative, worked at the branch in Stone Street, just off Dudley High Street, and had clocked up 47 years of service.

She said of her long time at the branch: "I have enjoyed my time working for Dudley Building Society over the last 47 years, it feels like only yesterday I joined the team. I've been lucky to work across across a number of departments over the years with some amazing people. It's been a pleasure serving our members and now I'm looking forward to my next adventure."

Simon Dodd, head of retail and marketing, praised Brenda's contribution to the building society over the decades and said: "We thank Brenda for all the genuine care and effort she put in over the years - she made a real difference for everyone she worked with and to all the members she served. We hope Brenda enjoys her well-earned retirement and the new adventures ahead."

Brenda was presented with a certificate of service, a gift and a memory book put together by her branch team that included pictures across the 47 years she spent at Dudley ahead of her last day on April 2.
