Seisdon-based Rebecca Harvey has completely renovated a derelict building in her garden to transform it into a therapy room.

In order to help launch her new venture, she completed a fully-funded business start-up programme with Good2Great, business consultants based in Bridgnorth, who are working with South Staffordshire Council using funding from the government’s UKSPF scheme.

Rebecca completed a degree in health at Wolverhampton University, followed by a teaching qualification. More recently, she has trained in phlebotomy, microneedling, chemical peels, dermaplaning and skin boosters at a leading skin clinic.

Grant funding from South Staffordshire Council enabled her to purchase leading skincare products to ensure she could offer the best treatments.

“After working for other companies for so long I decided I had enough knowledge and experience to set up by myself,” she said.

"It’s been my lifelong passion to set up my own beauty and aesthetics room. Good2Great has been invaluable for me in starting my business journey and I've learnt so much and met some fantastic like-minded people on the way. They have supported me and guided me with my business and I will be forever grateful. I'm so glad I signed up for the programme.

“I had to renovate a derelict building in my garden which took over 16 months to complete, working tirelessly and putting all my savings into it, making Rose Lodge Beauty a place for people to come to relax and unwind.

“It was difficult working full time, being a mom of three and juggling work life balance but it's finally finished and the response I’ve had when people come through the door is how beautiful it is. It really is special to me so it means a lot that other people appreciate it.”
