Walsall party hire firm set to grow with business grant

A family-owned party hire business in Walsall is celebrating after receiving a £3,000 donation from Walsall Business Support to grow the business.

Perfect Party Hire, owned by sisters Stacey Mason and Collette Tonks operate a party supplies business specialising in venue decoration and accessories for a wide range of special events.

Established in their homes during the Covid-19 lockdown, Perfect Party Hire have rapidly expanded and have opened their very first shop on Appledore Terrace in Walsall.

The donation from Walsall Business Support will help pay for the cost of fitting out the shop, signage and the development of a new website to market the business to a wider audience.

Formed by leading local business figures to distribute funds collected from the legacy of Walsall Chamber of Commerce, Walsall Business Support provides grants to applicants who want funding for projects to enhance business life in the borough.

Owner Stacey Mason commented: “The funding from Walsall Business Support has been amazing. Walsall Council put me in touch with WBS, we are a small business and to be able to grow has been really helpful.

“I was an estate Agent for 17 years prior to establishing Perfect Party Hire. I had small children and wanted to do something that I could do to fit around with my busy family.

“We have grown rapidly in the last four years and can provide party supplies for any season or occasion, the brand-new shop will be a great way for us to showcase our items such as balloons, light up letters and sleepover set ups.

“As the business grows and becomes more established, we hope to offer employment opportunities for people in the area.”

Walsall Business Support board member John Murray added: “We are delighted that Walsall Business Support could provide assistance to Perfect Party Hire. It’s great to hear their story and be able to give them the funding boost they need to expand their successful business in Walsall.”

Walsall Business Support provide grants and a free training needs analysis to businesses looking to generate growth, create employment or shape training opportunities for the borough of Walsall. Using an online form on the WBS website, bids can be submitted by businesses needing investment in a new project or a company wanting to improve skills.
