Chamber of Commerce announces weekly show as part of tie up with community radio station

The Black Country Chamber of Commerce has announced a new partnership with Wolverhampton’s local radio station, WCR FM.

WCR FM is a non-profit community radio station committed to providing news, public service information and entertainment to the diverse communities of the city of Wolverhampton.

The Chamber has been regular guests of WCR FM and as part of the partnership Chamber members are invited to come forward and feature on the Chris Allen Thursday evening Business Show.

Reaching out to a population of around 400,000 across the city of Wolverhampton and beyond, the Business Show airs every Thursday evening between 6- 8pm and features the latest business news, views and discussions with those who live and work in Wolverhampton. It is then published as a weekly podcast on the station’s website.

Black Country Chamber of Commerce CEO Sarah Moorhouse said: “It is great to be partnering with WCR FM’s Business Show and together we can do some fantastic work.

“The Chamber regularly features on the show, discussing anything from upcoming Chamber events to the latest quarterly economic survey data. This partnership will provide our members with a great opportunity to showcase their businesses and discuss matters affecting their communities.”

WCR FM chair and presenter Chris Allen added: “We are thrilled to have joined the Chamber and look forward to meeting its members and sharing best practice.

“As part of the partnership we are keen to speak to member businesses on the show from any size or sector who have news to share with the region. This could range from company success stories, new appointments or events.”
