Wedding venue near Bridgnorth is crowned best in country thanks to feedback from delighted couples
A Shropshire weddings venue events team has been crowned the best in the country after picking up a national award at a gala event in London.
The Hundred House at Norton, near Bridgnorth, lifted the Best Events Team accolade at the prestigious The Wedding Industry Awards - adding to the regional title the venue won before Christmas.
Award winners were revealed at a special ceremony held at The Underglobe in London with The Hundred House beating off tough competition from the best of the best in the wedding industry from all over the country.
The Hundred House already had an impressive record at The Wedding Industry Awards having been named Best Barn Wedding Venue in the West Midlands four times in six years, but now has an extra special national title to add to that list.
Gemma Johnson, wedding manager at The Hundred House, said: “I am so incredibly proud to be manager of such an incredible team of people, a national award-winning team of people - what an absolute honour to hold that title.
“Our events team deserve this and more, every single one of them put everything into what they do to ensure everything goes off as it should on what is the biggest day in the lives of our couples. This highest accolade is a fitting tribute to recognise their efforts.
“Judging for our award focussed on a range of criteria - the most important of which was feedback from couples who married at The Hundred House, and only award entrants over a certain score are named as finalists."
Voted for from October 2023 to October 2024, couples are asked various questions and score venues based on their experience.
The judges also take into consideration views on why the venue is different, procedures and what help is given to couples along the way as well as the quality of the venue, website and social media.
“Our award win would not be possible without our couples taking the time to vote for us and provide some beautiful feedback," said Gemma.
"It really is most appreciated and helps us maintain our status as one of the best wedding venues in the country.”
In addition to success in The Wedding Industry Awards, The Hundred House has also been named as a finalist in the Guides for Brides Awards and the Good Shoot Hotel Awards.
The Guides for Brides Awards recognise and reward wedding businesses that deliver exceptional service and achieve outstanding customer satisfaction.
The Good Shoot Hotel Awards aim to honour the most popular shooting stays, pubs and hotels, in the UK.
