The Queens in Belbroughton, near Stourbridge, brought foodies flocking until it closed suddenly in 2019 - reopening for a brief spell in 2020 before being sold by owners Marston's shortly afterwards.
In its modern heyday, the pub was run by top Midlands Michelin-starred chef Andy Waters, as well as local entrepreneur Jim Driscoll.
Other former chefs at the venue include the likes of Roger Narbett.
Now, property agents Siddall Jones say the pub represents a great opportunity for a "food and hospitality entrepreneur" to return it to its former glory.
The agents say the property is also available to rent.
“At the height of its fame, foodies from across the region flocked to The Queens and the waiting list for tables ran into weeks," said Ed Siddall-Jones, managing director of Siddall Jones.
“It was once one of just 143 pubs in Britain to get the coveted Bib Gourmand award, which is much lauded as the ‘Michelin star for pubs’.
“We’re delighted to be marketing The Queens and feel sure that it represents as opportunity for one of today’s food and hospitality entrepreneurs to return it to the realm of a great place to wine, dine and entertain.
“Alternatively, it could be a candidate for conversion to a residential property, or possible retail use, subject to planning permission.”
The Grade II-listed building dates largely from the 18th century, although it has some 16th century features and as a name was first mentioned as long ago as the 9th century, agents say.
