Ben Truslove's run in the Alton Towers Half Marathon in November this year raised over £1,500 for Midlands Air Ambulance.

But the run by Ben, joint managing director of commercial property agency John Truslove, is just the latest in a long line of fund raising efforts that have netted thousands for local good causes.

In September, he raised another £3,000 plus for Macmillan Cancer Support by completing the Great North Run.

This brings the total he has raised by running for charity in recent years to nearly £20,000.

He has also regularly raised money for the Primrose Hospice in Bromsgrove and recently John Truslove sponsored the Primrose Hospice Santa Fun Run round Arrow Valley Park in Redditch which raised over £18,000.

Ben said: “I would like to thank everyone who has sponsored, both those who have supported me recently and those over the past few years.

“Running for these great causes gives me the motivation to keep going, as I know and appreciate the work they do.”

Diane Thomson, Worcestershire fund raising executive for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “Ben has been a fantastic supporter of our vital work, and we are so pleased he has reached his target. The fundraising efforts of people like Ben are what keeps our helicopters and staff in the air and available for vital missions to save lives.”

Ben said he would soon be announcing his calendar of charity raising running dates in 2025.

“These charities will always need more funds, so the work goes on which makes tackling these runs all the more worthwhile.”
