Tamworth woman arrested on suspicion of several drug supply offences

A woman was arrested on suspicion of a number of drug supply offences after several deals of Class A drugs were discovered in a house in Tamworth.

Officers from Staffordshire Police arrested a 38-year-old woman on Wednesday, May 28 in Carlcroft in Stonydelpth and searched a house in the area.

The officers, from the Staffordshire Police major and organised crime proactive teams, discovered multiple deals of heroin, crack cocaine, cannabis, £335 cash, phones and drug supply paraphernalia.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (crack cocaine) and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (heroin) and has been released on bail while enquiries continue.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "A woman has been arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences in Tamworth.

"At 3pm on Wednesday, May 28, members of our major and organised crime proactive teams arrested a woman in Carlcroft in Stonydelpth.

"They then searched an address and found multiple deals of heroin, crack cocaine, cannabis, £335 cash, phones and drug supply paraphernalia.

"A 38-year-old woman, from the Tamworth area, has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (crack cocaine) and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (heroin).

"She has been released on bail while our enquiries continue."
