Avanti West Coast has urged rail passengers to check ahead before travelling following faults between Lichfield Trent Valley and Stafford.
The rail disruptions are due to damage to the overhead electrical wires between the two lines, with delays expected on rails towards Stafford until 8am.
Customers are being urged to check ahead before travelling, with Avanti West Coast tickets also able to be used on CrossCountry trains to Manchester Piccadilly and West Midlands Railway between London Euston and Crewe.
