Cannabis and weapons seized and motorcyclist reported by police in Dudley

Police in Dudley arrested a man on suspicion of drugs offences and foiled a motorcyclist who attemped to make off from a petrol station this week.

Police in Dudley have shared a summary of police action in the borough this week.

A man was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply after a warrant was issued at an address in Pensnett. A large amount of cannabis and weapons were recovered. He has been bailed pending further enquiries.

A motorcyclist attempted to make off from a petrol station in Kingswinford after filling up. Officers prevented a pursuit and reported the rider for driving offences. The motorbike was also seized.

A stolen vehicle was also located and recovered in Dudley town centre.

Neighbourhood police officers visited Hayley Green, Halesowen, Netherton, Quarry Bank and Milking Bank offering support and providing crime prevention advice.

Knife sweeps were also conducted in Priory Park, Russells Hall Park and open green spaces in Dudley.

Officers attended Woodfield Avenue, Wollescote after concerns from residents about obstructive parking. The team also conducted a Speed Watch operation on Belle Vale Road with support from Councillor Simon Phipps.
