Movie and music fans looking forward to a fun packed weekend at Himley

A weekend of outdoor cinema is coming to the stunning surrounds of Himley Hall this weekend, with hundreds of families and movie goers expected to visit.

Himley Hall was chosen by outdoor cinema company Adventure Cinema, who bill themselves as 'The UK's number one for Open Air Cinema Shows' - they put on events at around 60 historic venues around Great Britain.

On Himley Hall, their website says: "Surrounded by its picturesque Capability Brown landscaped parkland, Himley Hall offers a stunning setting for an unforgettable outdoor cinema experience on a huge open air screen .

"Once a royal retreat, this 18th-century stately home is the perfect place to enjoy a film under the sun and stars."

The first film to be shown this weekend will be The Greatest Showman Sing-a- Long including music to enjoy before the movie, with the main event taking place at 6.30pm tonight (Friday).

Then family favourite Shrek will be shown tomorrow (Saturday) at 1.30pm with gates open at 12 and in the evening Mama Mia! Outdoor Cinema ExtraAbbaganza with gates open at 5pm and the movie being shown at 6.30pm. For both events there will be a street food and bar available.

On Sunday there are three showings, the first one The Gruffalo/Stick Man with gates open at 10am and the movie being shown at 11am. Then for the afternoon, Disney's Moana 2 will be shown with gates open at 1.30pm and the show starting at 3pm.

Finally in the evening there will be a showing of the classic Pretty Woman starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, with gates open at 6pm and the movie starting at 7,30pm.
