Engineers have now removed the tree from the line and are testing to see whether trains can run again.

The latest tweet from West Midlands Railway says tickets will be accepted on other buses until the end of service and replacement transport will run between Sutton Coldfield and Lichfield
It is also affecting services between Birmingham and Bromsgrove and Hereford and they are stilll likely to be delayed or cancelled at short notice.
Ticket acceptance with National Express is still currently in place between Lichfield and Longbridge
