Dudley Council areis appealing for members of the public to attend the Dudley Local Access forum to provide feedback on the borough’s parks and green spaces.

The biannual meetings give people who use the area’s public spaces a chance to shape their future, discussing issues like footpaths and rights of way across parks and nature reserves.

Members can also comment on planning applications and other strategies affecting rights of way at the next meeting on June 12 (1pm to 3pm), at 3 St James’ Road, Dudley, and everyone from strollers to cyclists are welcome.

Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said: “We’ve had great success with Local Access Forums in the past. Don’t let the dry name put you off: it’s all about hearing from residents who are passionate about the great outdoors.

“We want to get more people involved in conserving their local scenic areas and making it easier for more people to appreciate them.

“We have some fantastic green spaces in the borough, and we welcome the constructive feedback that the forums provide on improving our footpaths, bridleways and other means of getting out into nature.”

Residents who are interested in joining the Local Access Forum should contact Dudley Council Plus on 0300 555 2345, with more information available on the Dudley Council website.
