The proposals for Fairlawns Hotel and Spa in Aldridge include a new entrance area, a pool extension, new padel courts, a new leisure retreat and nine glamping pods.
Architect Djogs said the improvements at the Little Aston Road site are a response to sector trends, competition and customer requirements. They will also aim to reduce the spa’s carbon footprint.
The development, as detailed in an Environmental Impact Assessment submitted to Walsall Council, has been broken down into four phases.
Phase one will see a new entrance to the main hotel, the relocation of the reception area, and new glass links between the main hotel and spa.

It will also include a ground floor pool extension and a new landscaped courtyard.
Phase two includes replacing the existing tennis court with a new EV car park, the creation of two padel courts and installation of solar panels.
Phase three will see the construction of a new low-rise leisure retreat and further EV car parking spaces.
Finally, phase four includes the erection of nine glamping cabins to provide self-catering accommodation for families.
Djogs said: “The aim of this long-term plan is to invest and improve over the next 15 years to ensure continued success, both as a business and employer, and a destination venue.”
