Appeal after woman injured in robbery near Birmingham post office - man is arrested

An elderly woman suffered injuries to her arms and eye while being robbed of her handbag outside a Birmingham post office.

West Midlands Police said the woman aged in her 70s was left injured following the alleged incident near the post office in Larkspur Croft in Hodge Hill at around midday on April 5.

After extensive inquiries  a man has been charged with robbery.

The force said it was appealing for two other men who kindly came to the woman's aid and any other witnesses to contact them. Both men left the scene before passing on their contact details to officers.
