Imam Hifiz Rahman was convicted of five indecent assault charges against two girls in 2016.
Bailed due to ill health despite awaiting a prison sentence which subsequently was 11 and a half years, Rahman was supposed to be sent to jail but flew to Bangladesh using a fake passport, to the fury and upset of his victims.
His family, who stuck by him despite his depraved crimes, claimed he died. His victims dispute the fact claiming no death certificate has been produced.
However, West Midlands Police told the Express & Star he is no longer classed as wanted.

A police spokesman said: "We received information that the absconded offender had died in Bangladesh. As a result, he is no longer listed as wanted on our website."
