And it wasn't the first time he had done it - in 2024 he completed the National Three Peaks Challenge by Rail in 2024, also in aid of the charity.

Paul will now be turning his attention to the charity night at The Barns Hotel and Restaurant in Cannock which will feature an Ibiza Party and which again will raise money for the Railway Children cause.

He said: "“After completing the National Three Peaks by Rail last year and enjoying it so much, I was eager to complete another challenge that pushed me physically.

"I was lucky enough to have enlisted the help of The Barns, who sponsored me and are now hosting a dedicated night to support my walk and help raise money for the fantastic Railway Children charity and the incredible work they do.”

Cat Howourth, events manager at Railway Children said: "I had the pleasure of supporting the Yorkshire Three Peaks challengers and I was inspired by their determination to complete the trek.

"It was a tough day with such high temperatures, but the team didn't let that affect their willpower to finish the course with a smile on their faces.

"And we are grateful to  Paul for continuing the fundraising effort with the charity night."
