Hundreds of people attended West Midlands Police Inaugural Vaisakhi celebration which was part organised by Black Country Sikhs.

Organised by the West Midlands Police Sikh Association, The Vaisakhi at Tally Ho! event, in Edgbaston, on Saturday featured displays of the arts, demonstrations and activities including the Gatka martial art, and Langar – a community kitchen open to all for free.

The festivities commenced with the solemn raising of the Nishaan Sahib, a sacred flag, led with great honour by the Panj Nishaanchis and Panj Pyare (Five Beloved Ones) in a short procession.
