West Midlands traffic: Road closures and disruptions to watch out for ahead of Spring bank holiday weekend

Workers and schoolchildren get an extra day off this Monday for the Spring bank holiday weekend which runs from Saturday May 24 to Monday May 26.
The Met Office is predicting mainly sunshine with a chance of rain and lows in the region of 17 degrees, with families likely to be taking to the road for the long weekend between Friday and Monday
Here are the major road closures in and around the region for motorists to watch out for this weekend, with motorways in particular seeing plenty of work going on.

A449, from 8pm inclusive until August 17 including the bank holiday, slight delays of under ten minutes in both directions from Gailey Roundabout to Gravelly Way, with a lane closure for maintenance work.
A5 continuous until 5pm on June 22 with slight delays of under ten minutes both directions Lime Lane Pelsall to Chester Road North, Sutton Coldfield a diversion in place.
M54 from 9pm until 6am each day until May 29 including the bank holiday, between M6 northbound at junction 10a to M54, junction one, with a lane closure for maintenance work
M6 from 9pm until 6am on May 29, including moderate delays of 10-30 minutes on the M6 northbound near Hilton Park Services where there will be entry and exit slip road closures for maintenance works.
M6 continuous until 6am on May 28 including the bank holiday, with slight delays of ten minutes northbound, junction seven to junction eight with lane closures for maintenance works.
M5 continuous until 6am on May 29 including the bank holiday with slight delays of under ten minutes both directions, junction 1 to M6 with lane closure for maintenance works.
M5, continuous until June 2, moderate delays of ten to 30 minutes between junction 1 and the M6 junction 8, with a carriageway closure for maintenance works, diversions in place

Currently, according to the Transport for West Midlands website there are no planned disruptions to train services throughout the West Midlands.
