Five charged after man shot in head in West Bromwich

Five people have been charged over a shooting in West Bromwich.

It comes after a vehicle was shot at near Trinity Way at around 11.35am on May 1, after which a man was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds to the head and shoulder.

Adyan Hussain, aged 21 and of Salisbury Road in West Bromwich, and Naveed Hussain, aged 22 of Ida Road, have been charged with attempted murder.

They have been remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court this morning (Thursday, May 22).

Meanwhile Abdi Osman, aged 21 and of no fixed address; Mohammed Shafi, aged 20 of Kitchener Road in Birmingham and Junichi Scott, aged 22 of Crompton Road, Birmingham have been charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs, conspiracy to supply class A drugs and possession of an offensive weapon.

Scott has also been charged with dangerous driving.

They have been remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning.

Two other men who were arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife in a public place have been bailed pending further enquiries.
