Officers were called to Hall Lane just after 1pm yesterday (Tuesday) by the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Firefighters extinguished the fire and nobody was reported injured.

The fire was said to have been caused by a lorry colliding with the overhead electrical cables causing them to fall onto the thatched roof.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said enquiries are ongoing.

They said "Anyone with any information that may help our investigation is asked to contact us by calling 101, quoting incident 297 of 20 May, or using Live Chat on our website."
