Train lines re-open between Stafford and Lichfield after earlier incident - some delays expected
Some delays are expected still after railway lines re-opened between Stafford and Lichfield Trent Valley to allow emergency services to deal with an incident earlier this morning.

They were called to an incident between Stafford and Lichfield Trent Valley at 10am which temporarily blocked all lines for over four hours, meaning Avanti West Coast and other services had to divert via other Midlands stations whilst the block was in place - extending some journey times.
A spokesperson for the train company said all lines were open but some delays are expected into the rush hour
She said: "We'd like to apologise to customers affected by the disruption and thank them for their patience as we worked alongside Network Rail to reopen the lines as quickly as possible."
