The crash took place on Wrottesley Park Road at around 2.50pm yesterday (Tuesday, May 20) with the road closed off for two to three hours at its junction of The Parkway and bus service 10a between Wolverhampton and Pattingham.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a collision between a car and a minibus on Wrottesley Park Road at 2.50pm on Tuesday.

"Four ambulances, a paramedic officer and the trust’s critical care car attended the scene. 

"On arrival we discovered five patients. 

"A man was treated for potentially serious injuries and taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital whilst a woman was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to New Cross Hospital. 

"A further man and woman were also taken to New Cross Hospital after receiving treatment for injuries not believed to be serious whilst the final patient, a man, was taken to Walsall Manor Hospital with injuries not believed to be serious."
