I tried sunny al fresco dining under cafe parasols and stylish seating - at a fast food restaurant in Cannock

With plenty of sun on the way, it's the perfect time to get out and enjoy a spot of outdoor dining while the nice weather lasts.

We aren't short of options for outdoor dining in the West Midlands, with plenty of our most loved and fancy eating options offering seating and covered gazebos for our pleasure.

However, when people think of fancy outdoor dining, they never think of fast food. 

Well after their exciting revamp, we visited the fast food giant, Burger King, on the Gateway Retail Park, Cannock, to see what's so good about outdoor dining.

The burger-chain underwent a huge remodeling of their interior and exterior dining facilities, which included their now very enjoyable outdoor seating space. 

While still situated adjacent to the often very busy A460 and M6 Toll, the noise was a little loud for my taste, but what could we expect? It's the M6 Toll. 

While slightly noisy, it didn't make the experience any less enjoyable.

Sitting there with the sun shining and tasty meal on my place, watching the cars, lorries and motorbikes roll past, I thought it was a great experience, and suprisingly, so did everyone else. 

David Porter, 41, said: "It's not something you really expect to be nice, I suppose. You're just sitting there eating your food. 

"But it is actually kind of nice. It's great with the sun out and you're people watching, you could really waste hours doing it, really. It's a suprisingly calming experience."

While it may seem like a rather simple thing, just sitting down and eating some fast food, it was actually refreshing to enjoy it outdoors while watching the world go by.

So why not give it a go? Instead of ordering in, why not head out and enjoy the weather and the surroundings as you eat your food. We enjoyed it and so will you.
