'We will learn from this' - Boss of care firm speaks after employee swindled vulnerable patients out of £2,000
A Staffordshire care company whose employee stole £2,000 from vulnerable Wolverhampton patients has promised "to learn from this experience".

This week Ranjinder Deol, 46, was sentenced to 12 months in jail for taking cash out of the accounts of five residents of Lichfield company Voyage Care's Park View Apartments in Barnard Road, Wolverhampton.
They all suffered from severe learning difficulties, brain injuries and other problems which made them dependent on Voyage Care support worker Deol, who stole the cash between 2022 and 2023.

Antonella Oliver, group managing director for Voyage Care, told the Express & Star: “Our aim is always to deliver high quality, professional care for those we support; nothing is more important to us than their safety and wellbeing.
"We do not underestimate the trust families place in us to care for their loved ones and we are disappointed that this trust has been compromised."
