Staffordshire police officer charged with nine counts of sexual assault
A Staffordshire Police officer has appeared in court following an investigation by the Professional Standards Department.

Alex Trusler, 35, of Burntwood, Staffordshire, has been charged with nine counts of sexual assault on a female in 2022 and 2023.
Trusler was suspended in 2023, as soon as the allegations were reported.
He appeared in Cannock Magistrates' Court on Friday and is due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on June 13.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "A police officer has appeared in court following an investigation by our Professional Standards Department.
"Alex Trusler, 35, of Burntwood, has been charged with nine counts of sexual assault on a female in 2022 and 2023. Trusler was suspended in September 2023, as soon as the allegations were reported."
