Two more teenagers arrested after men stabbed in violent disorder in Heath Town

Two teenagers have been arrested following a violent disorder incident which saw two men taken to hospital with stab injuries.

The incident on Wolverhampton Road at around 12.45pm on Wednesday (May 14) saw two men suffer stab injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The violence led to enhanced Section 60 stop-and-search powers being implemented by police in Heath Town.

A 17-year-old and a 30-year-old man were subsequently arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and remain in custody.

Now West Midlands Police has confirmed that a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old have also now been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. They were receiving hospital treatment and set to be questioned about the disorder.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish what happened during the incident.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Investigators are not currently seeking anyone further in connection with the incident and enquiries to establish the exact circumstances are ongoing.

"We know incidents like this can be concerning and extra patrols are being carried out in the area by our neighbourhoods teams so please talk to them if you need some reassurance.
