Adil Iqbal was sentenced to eight years in prison on Wednesday after pleading guilty to manslaughter at Birmingham Crown Court, becoming the fourth man to be jailed following the death of Bashir Mohammed in April 2021.
The 27-year-old had been part of a gang who pursued Mr Mohamed on a car, then on foot, before he was attacked and left with a fatal stab wound on Shyltons Croft in Ladypool in Birmingham.
The incident had followed a dispute between rival groups and a shotgun was fired at a house in Sparkbrook, and the front door set alight, just beforehand, while Iqbal had fled the country shortly after the death of the 26-year-old Mr Mohamed.

He was arrested on his return to the UK last November and joined three other men in being jailed for manslaughter.
West Midlands Police have said that enquiries are continuing as the force said it believed that other people were involved in the incident.
