Man arrested in Staffordshire after cocaine found stashed in Vaseline tins

Police have arrested a man in Tamworth after sniffing out a stash of cocaine hidden in Vaseline tins.

Staffordshire Police officers stopped a car on the forecourt of a car wash this afternoon (Wednesday). 

The driver, who was the only one in the car, was searched, and police found £620 in cash, a phone and three separate Vaseline tubs with cocaine inside.

A 25-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cocaine, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We’re continuing to act proactively against people committing high-harm offences across Staffordshire."
