Male, 22, charged after man stabbed in stomach in attempted robbery in Wolverhampton

Police have charged a man after an attempted knife-point robbery in Wolverhampton city centre.

Brandon Cottam was charged following the incident at Wheelers Fold last weekend. 

The victim was stabbed in his stomach, but managed to receive hospital treatment and was discharged. 

Cottam, 22 and of Bond Street in Wolverhampton, was arrested at around 10pm on Sunday (May 11), and has now been charged with attempted robbery, possessing a weapon, actual bodily harm, assault and possessing class A and B drugs.

He was being held in police custody ahead of a hearing at Wolverhampton Magistrates this morning (Tuesday).
