'Avoid the area' - Four fire crews in attendance as house ablaze in Rowley Regis

West Midlands Fire Service have rushed to the scene of Brickhouse Road, Rowley Regis, in Sandwell, at around 7.20pm to reports of a fire at a property on the road.
Four crews are in attendance to the blaze, with the fire service asking everyone to 'avoid the area'.

A West Midlands Fire Service spokesperson said: "We have four crews in attendance at Brickhouse Road, Rowley Regis, where they have responded to a house fire.

"Please avoid the area, where possible."
Speaking to the Express & Star, a resident of the road said: "you could see the smoke pouring through the windows and doors, it was terrible.
"It looks like most of it was coming from downstairs, I think everyone was okay, I hope they're alright."
Another resident added: "There were about four fire vehicles, they got here really quickly, well done to them.

"The smoke was everywhere, it was chaotic. I could see the owners grabbing stuff from the house, I hope they're okay."
A third local said: "We don't get many fires down here. Everyone was on the street when it happened.
"It looked terrible with all the smoke, you can see by the windows how hot it was. You can only hope they're alright though."
Emergency services have been approached for more information.
