Emergency services rushed to the scene of both Lunt Place and Marbury Drive, Bilston, to reports of two separate fires that are believed to be connected on Saturday, May 10.
The fires, which both took place at around 2.20am and 2.37am, saw four people receiving various smoke-related injuries, and a man in his 70s die as a result of the blaze.

During the Lunt Place incident, four patients were discovered by West Midlands Ambulance Service, with one woman being treated for 'potentially serious injuries' relating to smoke inhalation and three others being treated for effects of smoke inhalation.
All four were conveyed to the hospital for further treatment.

Tragically, at the Marbury Drive address, only a short walk away, ambulance personnel discovered a man in his 70s; however, it was apparent that nothing could be done to save the man, and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
West Midlands Police have said that the investigation into both incidents continues today, with officers liaising with the HM Coroner.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "Enquiries into the fires in Lunt Place and Marbury Drive are continuing and we're liaising with the coroner."
The update comes as fresh images show the destruction caused by the Marbury Drive blaze, with images showing the building's destroyed roof and interior.

The fire on Marbury Drive affected 'virtually all of the property' with West Midlands Fire Service saying that crews worked in 'challenging conditions' to extinguish the flames.
West Midlands Fire Service said that their investigations at the Marbury Drive address have 'concluded', with a report being prepared for the HM Coroner.

A fire service spokesperson said: "Our investigations at the scene have concluded. A report will be submitted to the HM Coroner."
