Wolverhampton to Walsall bus services diverted due to carriageway projects

Passengers using bus services between Wolverhampton and Walsall are facing diversions on part of the route.

The popular 529 National Express West Midlands bus service is operating via the Keyway island, Bilston Lane in Shepwell Green and the B4464 Walsall Road at the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara. The number 69 via Wednesfield is also diverted today. 

The operator posted on X: "@nxwestmidlands Service Update: Clarkes Lane and Gough Street service 529 is on diversion to Walsall. NLR to The Keyway the island, Bilston Lane by the McDonalds traffic lights, Walsall Road (temple) To Wolverhampton: service not affected."

Meanwhile due to water company work the bus service numbers 25 and 69 running from Wolverhampton to Wednesfield will be on diversion in both directions on Sunday. Number 25 is running to Long Knowle Lane via Amos Lane to the normal route. Number 69 which runs to Walsall is following a route from Wood End Road via Linthouse Lane to the normal route. 

"@nxwestmidlands Seven Trent road works on Wood End Road Service #25, 69 will be on diversion in both directions via Service 25-From Long Knowle Lane, Amos Lane to normal line of route Service 69- From Wood End Road, Linthouse Lane to normal line of route."
