The pub was awarded the City Pub of the Year 2025 and the Cider Pub of the Year 2025 for Wolverhampton, with branch chairman Mark Hewitt handing over the certificates.

It was yet another nod from CAMRA to the way the Keg and Comfort is run, with the pub having previously been named City Pub of the Year in 2023 and runner up for the same award in 2020, 2022 and 2024 and a County Cider Pub of the Year runner-up in 2023.

Louise Clive said the double award had been a brilliant achievement for the pub after a few tough years and said that she felt the pub was a place where anyone could enjoy a nice pint and a warm welcome.

She said: "The CAMRA team have been out judging all the different pubs in the city and it's nice to know that they think we're the best.

"I think it's not just on the quality of the beer, but also on the feel of the pub and what the customers think and we have probably about 70 to 75 per cent repeat customers.

"It's the local for a lot of them and while we have a few cars in the car park, a lot of people walk here and they all know each other, so we've got a great little community here.

"We try to look after them and it's nice to know that people think that we are doing well and that what we are doing is how it should be done.

"We also have an awards wall, so these certificates will be going up there once we've juggled things around a bit."
