Work on the Middlemore Lane Household Waste Recycling Centre is due to be completed this summer, with operations expected to start later in the year, according to Walsall Council.

The new Walsall based recycling centre, which has cost the council £32 million, sits on Middlemore Lane, Aldridge, and was proposed to replace the nearby Merchants Way, with its users transferring to the Middlemore Lane site following its closure.

Now, ahead of the recycling centre's opening, residents have expressed their hopes and fears about the new mammoth sized facility.
