Traffic and tram services around Wolverhampton city centre disrupted due to 'police incident'
There were delays and long lines for drivers and tram services disrupted after a police incident was reported near Wolverhampton Railway Station.

The incident was reported at around 5.50pm on Railway Drive and saw long lines of traffic forming around the Wolverhampton city centre ring road.
It also led to Metro services being unable to run to Pipers Row or Wolverhampton Station, with services terminating at The Royal, for about 30 minutes, before being fully resumed at 6.25pm.
A spokesman for West Midlands Roads said: "Police incident on Railway Drive near Wolverhampton Railway Station.
"Consider using other routes as part of your journey."
A spokesman for West Midlands Metro said: "Due to a Police incident near Wolverhampton Station, trams are unable to operate between Wolverhampton Station & The Royal.
"Trams are operating between The Royal & Edgbaston Village only.
"Tickets & Passes are being accepted on @nxwestmidlands bus 79 between Wolverhampton & The Royal."
This was followed by a message at 6.25pm which said: "Trams are now operating between Wolverhampton Station & Edgbaston Village.
"There are delays to service due to the earlier Police incident."
West Midlands Police have been contacted for a comment.
