Teenagers arrested in Dudley as part of car key burglary investigation

Two teenagers have been arrested in Dudley in connection with a series of car key burglaries.

The two 17-year-olds were arrested in the Norton area in the early hours of Thursday morning after West Midlands Police said it had received reports of a number of burglaries on Wednesday night.

The force said the two teenagers have remained in custody while investigations continue and asked for anyone who may have seen what happened or had any information to get in touch as soon as possible.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Officers investigating a series of car key burglaries in Dudley have arrested two teenagers.

"The teenagers, both aged 17, were arrested in the Norton area in the early hours of this morning.

"This is after we received reports of a number of burglaries nearby last night.

"The two teenagers remain in custody while our investigation continues.

"Anyone who was in Norton last night and has CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage showing any suspicious activity can get in touch via 101 or Live Chat quoting crime number 20/233332/25."
