However, his identity still remains a mystery after West Midlands Police and the CPS petitioned the Black Country's top judge, Justice Michael Chambers KC, to keep the paedophile's identity secret. 

Prosecutor Daniel Oscroft told the court West Midlands Police had assured him the need for anonymity was critical to the success "of a major investigation into the defendant which will lead to multiple charges within the next 12 months".

Detectives are interviewing former pupils, many with special needs, of the teaching assistant. So far there could be a potential 81 new victims, which would rival some of the biggest abuse scandals ever.
