The teacher's identity was kept secret after a ruling during hearing when he pleaded to nine counts of sexually abusing children at Wolverhampton Crown Court earlier this year.
The prosecution called for the anonymity order due to ongoing investigations into the teacher's behaviour concerning other children.
However, Judge Amy Jacobs made clear the order was only temporary and would be revisited at his sentencing, which was due to be in April but was pushed back until today.
She said: "The teacher will be identified in the future "due to the importance of court proceedings being open and public."
