Investigation launched after shooting at Scotlands estate in Wolverhampton which left one man injured

Police are investigating following a shooting at an estate in Wolverhampton on Tuesday night.

Officers were called to the Scotlands Estate in Carlyle Grove at around 10.45pm, following reports of a firearm being discharged. 

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Investigators are continuing enquiries today to identify those responsible.

CCTV from the area is being retrieved and reviewed and door-to-door enquiries are also ongoing. 

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "There will be more police officers in the area as these investigations continue with further patrols over the coming days to reassure residents.
