In a statement read to the court, the resident, who lives round the corner the East Park home set on fire and spotted something out of the ordinary in the early hours of July 25, last year.
They said told the court: "When the figure ran across the road they were about eight car lengths away from me. The way they moved I could tell they were up to no good. They were young because I could tell they were were very agile. There was nothing out of the ordinary about the way he ran except he was very quick. He looked at me, I could tell he was white but he was too far away to see any features.
