When his house was searched, police found scales, empty snap bags and £45 in cash.

Growcott was charged with possession with intent to supply heroin, crack cocaine and possessing criminal property.

He admitted the offences in court at an earlier hearing and was sentenced to two years imprisonment, suspended for two years, at Stafford Crown Court last Thursday.

As part of his sentencing, he was also ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Our major and organised crime proactive teams are working hard every single day to target the gangs responsible for high-harm offences in Staffordshire.

"It’s vital that people continue to tell us about their concerns and to report criminal activity so we can act against those responsible.
