The group, which includes Strike Map, We Demand Change, Brum Rise Up and Birmingham trade unions, is calling on the public to join the mass picket, which starts at 6am on Friday at Lifford Lane Depot on Ebury Road in Kings Norton.
The picket has been organised in response to what the group said were planned cuts to pay by up to £8,000 a year and the employment of temporary workers.
A spokesman for Strike Map said: "Unite bin workers employed by Birmingham City Council are facing huge cuts to terms and conditions with some facing a £8,000 a year pay cut.
"These workers have been in dispute since January, and are now on all out strike action.

"To the shame of both the Labour Council, enforced by commissioners of a Labour Government, Hays and Job & Talent agencies are providing strike breaking labour.
"We are calling the whole labour and wider trade union movement to join us as we support the picket line at Lifford Lane Depot from 6am on 9 May until 10am."
Stuart Richardson from Brum Rise up said it was time to unite together after seeing cuts in public services.
He said: "Let’s also show some solidarity with the bin workers as well who are due to lose £8,000 a year in wages. Could you afford that type pf pay cut?
"The dispute and industrial action with Unite the Union is not because they are demanding higher wages and more, but because they stand to lose a huge amount which will also affect health and safety and how effectively they can work.
"Heartbreakingly, they have already closed down Harborne Day Centre and the libraries are still at risk."
