Man and woman in court charged with murder of baby and causing or allowing death
A Walsall man and a woman from Lichfield have been charged with murder after the death of a five-week-old baby, police have said.

Sean Jefferson, 34, of Walsall, and Amy Leigh Clark, 33, of Lichfield, have been charged with murder, causing or allowing the death of a child, and two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
In a short statement issued on Tuesday, Staffordshire Police said the two have also been charged with three counts of causing or allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm.
Both defendants appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Friday and were remanded into custody to appear at Stafford Crown Court on June 11.
