Cyclist rushed to Birmingham hospital with serious injuries after collision with car in Ludlow

A cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Ludlow.

Emergency services were called to a collision on the A49 between the Sheer Roundabout and Bromfield Road, Ludlow, at around 9.40am last Saturday (May 3).

Officers arrived at the scene to find a car and a bicycle involved.

The cyclist, who was a woman in her 40s, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with serious injuries.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "We received a call around 9.40am on Saturday morning (3 May) with a report of a collision on the A49, between the Sheer Roundabout and Bromfield Road in Ludlow.

"Officers arrived to find a car and bicycle involved.

"The cyclist, a woman in her 40s , was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with serious injuries."
