The streets of Wolverhampton were filled with dhol drums, flags and plenty of smiling faces as members of the Sikh community celebrated the religious festival of Vaisakhi on Sunday.
Vaisakhi, also known as Baisakhi or Mesadi, celebrates the year 1699 - the year when Sikhism was born as a collective faith.
While celebrated by members of the Sikh faith worldwide, the event also welcomes members of all religions and ethnicities, becoming a meeting ground for millions of people to enjoy music, food and no end of dancing.

Last year's West Park Mela welcomed more than 30,000 people of all races and faiths, marking the 325th anniversary of the creation of the Khaolsa Order and the making of Saint-Soldier by Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
For this year's event, a procession from the Guru Nanak Satsang Gurdwara on Cannock Road proceeded onwards to West Park at 8.30am, with Dhol Drummers playing rhythmic beats and food handlers offering free tasty samosas and drinks to those passing by.
