An “entitled” pervert who slyly filmed up women’s skirts in supermarkets has been locked up.

Philip Turnock, aged 48, put his phone in the bottom of a shopping bag or basket and sneakily placed it on the floor between women’s legs to try and video their private parts as they did their shopping.
A Shrewsbury Crown Court judge considered handing him a suspended sentence, but came to the conclusion that if he hadn’t been caught, “it would still be going on”.
The court was told how police investigated Turnock on suspicion of voyeurism and seized memory cards as well as devices, on which his offending was discovered.
He carried out the “upskirting” in the shops in June last year and other voyeurism on various dates.
Turnock was arrested and interviewed by police. He told officers he carried out filming for his own “sexual gratification”, but that he had not distributed his recordings.
